Table Talks
At Home With Growing Older and Ruth’s Table are teaming up to host Table Talks, an intergenerational discussion series exploring the themes of city living and community care. Table Talk conversations aim to deepen our understanding of connection and belonging, with participants leaving these discussions with fresh insights and a stronger sense of community.

We discussed, Aging in the City: The Power of Giving, exploring how generosity sparks joy and connection. Thank you to Cafe Alma for the complimentary refreshments and to our participants for engaging with us in meaningful dialogue as we explored how a spirit of generosity supports us all as we age, grow, and encounter changes.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us — working together to create cities that support, connect, and animate our lives as we age. We will gather for Table Talks again in the fall to share diverse stories, insights and perspectives on aging.

Our second Table Talk was held at Ruth’s Table in San Francisco in February of 2025; participants discussed, The Joy of Picnicing. Through shared stories and reflections, participants explored how the city can support and inspire festive outdoor gatherings with friends.
Thank you to our featured guests, Rowena Richie & Beth Wilmurt, who guided us on an interactive journey with shadow puppetry and song. Thank you to the Ruth’s Table staff, who led an art-making session to deepen reflections and spark new creative possibilities.
