The relationship between our body and the physical environment is critical for our health and wellbeing, yet we continue to build standardized environments that do not pay attention to the needs of people of different abilities and ages. Wanda Lieberman, who received her Doctor in Design from Harvard, talks about her research on this topic and the shortcomings of what we consider ‘accessibly designed’ environments.
