John is the Co-Founder of Tech-enhanced Life, an initiative that explores the intersection of aging and technology with the Longevity Explorers, a community of older adults who discuss products and services. Candiece is the Managing Director of Marketing at a San Francisco Residential Community, Rhoda Goldman Plaza and Board President of At Home With Growing Older.
About John Milford:
John has been a leader in the retirement field for over 35 years, having opened both The Carlisle and San Francisco Towers, where he was Executive Director for over 15 years. He has served on the Boards of San Francisco Village and San Francisco Senor Center, and was Chair of the Commonwealth Club of California’s Grownups Forum for 19 years. John is the founder and owner of Heritage Consulting for Retirement Living, and is a co-founder of Tech-enhanced Life, a Public Benefit Corporation exploring how technology can improve our quality of life as we age.
About Candiece Milford:
Candiece Milford has been in the residential living market for older adults for 16 years. She is currently Managing Director of Marketing for Rhoda Goldman Plaza, previously being the Lead Director of Marketing at The Sequoias San Francisco, a Continuing Care Retirement Community.
As a serial entrepreneur, Candiece transferred the innovation gleaned from her previous graphic design, marketing consulting business and co-founding of an early internet start-up (1996) to residential housing.
Concerned about affordable housing for people as we age, Candiece has delivered a series of informational seminars to seekers of retirement living options at venues including the Commonwealth Club where she is a member in the “Grown Ups Forum.” Candiece currently serves as President of the non-profit At Home With Growing Older, a forum for discussion about the issues of aging and platform for Aging 360 designed to help people age in place at home.
